The earpiece speaker on the iPhone 13 mini is the small speaker at the top of the screen that you hold to your ear on calls. The sensor flex beside it tells the phone to turn the screen off when it is near your face. Both sit behind the display.
This assembly combines the earpiece speaker and the sensor flex, so both are replaced together. The display must be lifted to reach them. Face ID parts at the top of the phone must be handled with care during fitting.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone 13 mini. Tap the Model Number to see the A-number (A2481, A2626, A2628, A2629, A2630).
The iPhone 13 mini has a 5.4-inch screen and two rear cameras set diagonally. The iPhone 12 mini looks similar but its two cameras sit one above the other.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power off the iPhone 13 mini, remove the two screws beside the charging port and warm the screen edges to soften the adhesive.
- Lift the display carefully and disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Remove the bracket over the earpiece and lift out the old speaker and sensor flex.
- Fit the new assembly, keeping the sensor aligned with its window in the screen.
- Reconnect the display and battery, then test a call and the proximity sensor.
- Seal the phone with new adhesive and press evenly while it sets.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
