What this part is
The SIM card reader on the iPhone 13 Pro Max is the small socket that the SIM tray slides into. Its contacts press on the SIM card. If the contacts bend, corrode or break, the phone may show No SIM or lose signal, even with a working SIM card.
This part is the reader socket only. It sits on the logic board, so fitting it needs board-level soldering or connector work. We recommend professional installation by a technician with micro-soldering tools.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone 13 Pro Max. Tap the Model Number to see the A-number (A2484, A2641, A2643, A2644, A2645).
The iPhone 13 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch screen and three rear cameras. The iPhone 13 Pro has the same camera layout but a smaller 6.1-inch screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Test a known working SIM card first to rule out the card or network.
- Power off the iPhone 13 Pro Max, remove the two screws beside the charging port and warm the screen edges to soften the adhesive. Disconnect the battery first.
- Remove the logic board from the phone.
- Preheat the board and remove the old SIM reader with hot air, protecting nearby parts.
- Clean the pads, solder the new reader in place and inspect the joints.
- Refit the board, reassemble the phone and test SIM detection and signal.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
