What this part is
The earpiece is the small speaker at the top of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, behind the thin grille above the screen. You hear callers through it when the phone is at your ear, and it also works as the second speaker for stereo sound.
Dust in the grille can make calls quiet, so clean it gently with a soft brush first. If callers are still hard to hear, crackle, or cannot be heard at all while speakerphone works, the earpiece speaker has failed and this part replaces it.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone 14 Pro Max. Tap the Model Number to see the A-number (A2651, A2893, A2894, A2895, A2896).
The iPhone 14 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch screen, a Dynamic Island cut-out at the top of the screen and three rear cameras. The earpiece grille is the thin slot at the very top of the screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off, remove the two bottom screws and warm the screen edges to soften the adhesive.
- Open the display and disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Remove the earpiece bracket at the top of the phone.
- Lift out the old earpiece and fit the new one in the same position.
- Reconnect the battery and test a call at full volume and stereo sound.
- Apply new adhesive, close the phone and check Face ID, calls and the front camera.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

No. The iPhone 14 Plus is the same size but has a notch and two rear cameras. Those phones use different internal parts, so this part is for the iPhone 14 Pro Max only.

No. Ringtones play through the bottom loudspeaker. This part fixes call audio at your ear and the top stereo channel.
