What this part is
The SIM card reader is the socket inside the iPhone 15 Plus that the SIM tray slides into. Its contacts touch the SIM card and pass the signal to the main board through a flex cable. Bent contacts, dirt or a damaged flex cause No SIM messages or a network that comes and goes.
This part replaces the SIM socket and its flex, for the single SIM version. It is not a SIM tray. Before buying, try another SIM card and clean the tray. If the problem stays, the socket is the likely cause. The flex connects to the logic board, so careful connector work is needed. No heat is needed for the socket itself.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone 15 Plus. Tap the Model Number once to see the A-number (A2847, A3093, A3094, A3096).
US iPhone 15 Plus models (A2847) have no SIM tray, and dual-SIM versions use a different reader, so this part does not fit them.
The iPhone 15 Plus has a 6.7-inch screen with the Dynamic Island, two rear cameras and a USB-C port. The iPhone 15 is the same design in a 6.1-inch size, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max has three rear cameras.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the iPhone 15 Plus off and remove the SIM tray.
- Open the phone and disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Remove the brackets covering the SIM reader and unplug its flex.
- Fit the new SIM reader, press the flex connector home and refit the brackets.
- Reconnect the battery, insert a SIM and check it is detected with full signal.
- Close the phone and test calls and mobile data.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
