What this part is

The cameras on the back of the iPhone 16 / 16 Plus sit behind small glass covers set into the rear housing. A drop can crack or chip this glass, which lets in dust and causes blurry, hazy or flared photos even when the cameras themselves are fine.

This part replaces that cover glass only. The old glass is removed and the new glass is bonded in its place. If photos are still blurry through clean, undamaged glass, or a camera will not open at all, the fault is in the camera module and this part will not fix it.

How to check your model

Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone 16 or iPhone 16 Plus. Tap Model Number to see the A-number; it should be one of A3081, A3286, A3287, A3288, A3082, A3289, A3290 and A3291.

The iPhone 16 (6.1-inch) and iPhone 16 Plus (6.7-inch) both have two rear cameras in a vertical, pill-shaped layout. The iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max have three rear cameras in a square camera bump.

Professional installation

How a technician fits this part

Power the phone off and remove any case.
Gently warm the camera area to soften the adhesive holding the old lens glass.
Lift out the broken glass piece by piece, taking care not to touch or scratch the camera below.
Clean the recess of old adhesive and glass fragments, and clear any dust with a blower.
Fit the new lens glass with fresh adhesive and press it evenly into place.
Open the camera app and check every lens for clear, sharp photos.

Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
