What this part is
The SIM tray slides into a reader socket inside the iPhone 16 Plus. The socket sits on a small flex cable that connects to the main board. If the contacts are bent, dirty or broken, the phone shows No SIM or drops network signal.
This part replaces the reader socket and its flex. It is the single-SIM version, for phones that take one nano-SIM plus eSIM. Some iPhone 16 Plus models, such as those sold in the United States, have no SIM tray at all, and phones sold in mainland China take two physical SIMs. Before ordering, try a different SIM card and check that the tray is straight. A bent tray or a faulty SIM card can cause the same symptoms.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone 16 Plus.
The iPhone 16 Plus has a 6.7-inch screen with a Dynamic Island, two rear cameras and a USB-C port. The iPhone 16 is smaller at 6.1 inches, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max has three rear cameras.

How a technician fits this part
- Remove the SIM tray, power the phone off and open it with gentle heat.
- Disconnect the battery before touching any other connector.
- Remove the brackets over the SIM reader and unplug its flex cable.
- Fit the new reader so it lines up with the tray slot, then reconnect the flex.
- Reconnect the battery, insert the SIM and check signal and calls.
- Close the phone with new adhesive and run a final check.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
