What this part is

The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max share the same three-lens camera layout on the back, so the lens covers are the same size on both. A crack in one of these small glass covers lets in dust and light, which makes photos look hazy, soft or streaked, even though the camera itself still works.

This part replaces the lens glass only. The old glass is removed from the camera ring and the new glass is bonded in its place. Take care not to push debris into the camera below. If the camera app shows a black screen or cannot focus at all, the camera module itself may be faulty and this glass will not fix it.

How to check your model

Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone 16 Pro or iPhone 16 Pro Max. Tap the Model Number once to see the A-number (iPhone 16 Pro: A3083, A3292, A3293, A3294; iPhone 16 Pro Max: A3084, A3295, A3296, A3297).

Both phones have three rear cameras and a titanium frame. The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus have two rear cameras and need a different lens glass.

Professional installation

How a technician fits this part

Power the phone off and place it face down on a soft, clean surface.
Warm the camera area gently to soften the lens adhesive.
Remove the broken glass carefully, keeping fragments away from the camera.
Clean the lens ring and blow away any dust.
Fit the new lens glass, press it evenly and let the adhesive settle.
Test every rear camera mode, including zoom and low light.

Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
