What this part is
Inside the iPhone 16, the SIM tray pushes into a small reader socket on a flex cable. The flex connects to the main board. Worn, bent or dirty contacts stop the SIM being read, so the phone shows No SIM or keeps losing its network.
This part is the single-SIM reader, for phones that take one nano-SIM plus eSIM. iPhone 16 models sold in the United States have no SIM tray, and the version sold in mainland China takes two physical SIMs, so neither uses this part. Try another SIM card and check the tray first, because a damaged card or bent tray can cause the same fault.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone 16.
The iPhone 16 has a 6.1-inch screen with a Dynamic Island, two rear cameras stacked vertically and a USB-C port. The iPhone 16 Plus is larger at 6.7 inches.

How a technician fits this part
- Take out the SIM tray, power the iPhone 16 off and open it with gentle heat.
- Disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Remove the covering brackets and unplug the SIM reader flex.
- Fit the new reader in line with the tray slot and reconnect the flex.
- Reconnect the battery, insert a SIM and check signal, calls and data.
- Close the phone with new adhesive and run a final check.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my iPhone 16?
Yes, if Settings › General › About shows iPhone 16 and your phone has a single nano-SIM tray. Phones with no SIM tray cannot use it.
Does it fit the iPhone 16 Plus?
No. The iPhone 16 Plus is larger and has its own SIM reader. Choose the iPhone 16 Plus version instead.
Will this fix my eSIM?
No. An eSIM is built into the phone and does not use the SIM reader. This part only fixes problems reading a physical nano-SIM.
