What this part is
The earpiece speaker is the small speaker at the top of the iPhone 16e that you hear during normal calls. If it fails, callers sound faint or distorted, or you hear nothing until you switch to speaker mode.
This is the speaker only, without the sensor flex. It sits behind the display, so the screen must be opened to reach it. Before ordering, clean the earpiece grille gently with a soft brush, because a blocked mesh often causes quiet audio. If the screen also stays on during calls, the combined earpiece and sensor flex is the better choice.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone 16e. Tap the Model Number once to see the A-number (A3212, A3408, A3409, A3410).
The iPhone 16e has a 6.1-inch screen with a notch (no Dynamic Island) and a single rear camera. The iPhone 16 has a Dynamic Island and two rear cameras.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the iPhone 16e off, warm the screen edges and lift the display.
- Disconnect the battery first.
- Remove the top bracket and take out the old earpiece speaker.
- Fit the new speaker so its contacts line up, then refit the bracket.
- Reconnect the screen and battery and make a test call.
- Close the phone with new adhesive and run a final check.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
