What this part is
The iPhone 16e front camera sits in the notch at the top of the screen, next to the Face ID parts. It is used for selfies, FaceTime and video calls. A drop or liquid damage can leave it blurry, unable to focus or showing a black picture.
This part replaces the front camera module and its connection. It does not replace any Face ID parts, so it will not fix Face ID errors. Before ordering, clean the glass over the camera and check that a screen protector is not covering it. After the repair, iOS may show a parts notice for the camera in Settings.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone 16e. Tap the Model Number once to see the A-number (A3212, A3408, A3409, A3410).
The iPhone 16e has a 6.1-inch screen with a notch (no Dynamic Island) and a single rear camera. The iPhone 16 has a Dynamic Island and two rear cameras.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the iPhone 16e off, warm the screen edges and open the display.
- Disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Remove the bracket over the front camera and unplug it.
- Fit the new camera, taking care not to disturb the Face ID parts.
- Reconnect and test selfie photos, video and FaceTime before sealing.
- Close the phone with new adhesive and run a final check.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
