Overview
What this part is
The Taptic Engine is the vibration motor in the iPhone 16e. It gives the buzz for calls and alerts and the small taps you feel when typing or pressing and holding. When it fails, vibration becomes weak, rattles, or stops altogether.
This part replaces the vibrating motor only. First check that vibration is switched on in Settings › Sounds & Haptics and Settings › Accessibility › Touch. The motor is mounted near the battery, so the battery must be disconnected before it is removed.

- Open the phone with gentle heat and disconnect the battery.
- Unscrew the bracket and unplug the Taptic Engine.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my iPhone 16e?
Yes, if Settings › General › About shows iPhone 16e. It fits models A3212, A3408, A3409 and A3410.
Does it fit the iPhone 16?
No. The iPhone 16 uses its own Taptic Engine. This motor is for the iPhone 16e only.
How do I know the motor is at fault and not a setting?
Turn on vibration in Settings › Sounds & Haptics and check that Vibration is on in Settings › Accessibility › Touch. If the phone still does not vibrate, the motor is the likely cause.
Is it made by Apple?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality taptic engine vibrating motor made to fit the iPhone 16e, and every part is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The motor sits near the battery, which must be disconnected safely before any work.
How quickly will it arrive?
Orders placed before 4pm on a working day are dispatched the same day from Manchester by Royal Mail Tracked. Delivery is free on UK orders from £5.
