What this part is
The front camera of the iPhone 11 Pro sits in the notch at the top of the screen, next to the Face ID sensors and earpiece. It is used for selfies, FaceTime and video calls. A drop or moisture can leave it blurred, dark, spotted or not working at all, while the rear cameras still work.
This part replaces the selfie camera module on its flex cable. It sits under the display, so the screen must be opened to reach it. It is a separate part from the Face ID sensors, and it will not fix Face ID errors.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone 11 Pro. Tap the Model Number to see the A-number (A2215, A2160, A2217).
The iPhone 11 Pro has a 5.8-inch screen and three rear cameras. The 11 Pro Max looks the same but is larger, with a 6.5-inch screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off, warm the screen edges and open the display.
- Disconnect the battery, then the display cables.
- Remove the bracket over the top sensors and unplug the front camera.
- Fit the new camera, taking care not to disturb the Face ID parts.
- Reconnect and test the selfie camera, FaceTime and Face ID.
- Reseal the display with new adhesive and press it evenly.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
