What this part is
The iPhone 11 Pro has three rear cameras: wide, ultra wide and telephoto. The camera module plugs into the logic board and sits under a bracket inside the phone. A hard drop can damage the focus or stabilisation parts, so the lens shakes, buzzes or will not focus, or the camera app shows black.
This part replaces the rear camera module on its flex cable. It is reached from the front of the phone, once the display is opened and the battery disconnected. If photos are only hazy and the camera glass is cracked, the lens glass may be the fault instead, which is a cheaper fix.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone 11 Pro. Tap the Model Number to see the A-number (A2215, A2160, A2217).
The iPhone 11 Pro has a 5.8-inch screen and three rear cameras. The 11 Pro Max looks the same but is larger, with a 6.5-inch screen.

How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off, warm the screen edges and open the display.
- Disconnect the battery, then the display cables.
- Remove the camera bracket and unplug the old camera module.
- Fit the new module, making sure it sits flat in its recess.
- Reconnect and test every rear lens: focus, zoom, video and flash.
- Refit the bracket, reseal the display with new adhesive and press it evenly.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
