The iPhone XS Max selfie camera sits at the top of the display, next to the earpiece and sensors. A drop or liquid damage can leave it blurry, dark, or showing a black screen when you switch to the front camera.
This is a brand new front camera module made to fit the iPhone XS Max. It is reached by removing the display. It replaces the selfie camera only. It is not the rear camera, and it does not repair the Face ID dot projector.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About and check the model name reads iPhone XS Max. Tap the model number to see the A-number. It should be one of A1921, A2101, A2102, A2103, A2104.
The iPhone XS Max has a 6.5-inch OLED screen and two rear cameras. The iPhone XS is smaller, with a 5.8-inch screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the pentalobe screws next to the port.
- Warm the screen edges, open the iPhone XS Max and disconnect the battery.
- Remove the front sensor bracket at the top of the frame.
- Disconnect the old front camera and fit the new one, keeping the lens clean.
- Reconnect the battery and test photos and video before sealing.
- Apply new display adhesive and close the phone.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
