Overview
What this part is
The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max share the same dual rear camera module, with wide and telephoto lenses. A drop can damage the focus or stabilisation, leaving photos blurry, a buzzing lens or a black screen in the Camera app.
This brand new module fits both phones. If only the outer glass over the lens is cracked, you may need just a lens glass instead. This listing does not fit the iPhone XR, which has a single rear camera, or the iPhone X.

Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the pentalobe screws next to the port.
- Warm the screen edges, open the phone from the display side and disconnect the battery.
- Remove the rear camera bracket and disconnect the old camera.
- Fit the new camera module and refit the bracket.
- Reconnect the battery and test photos, focus, zoom and video before sealing.
- Apply new display adhesive and close the phone.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my iPhone XS or XS Max?
Yes. The iPhone XS (A1920, A2097, A2098, A2099, A2100) and XS Max (A1921, A2101, A2102, A2103, A2104) use the same rear camera.
Does it fit the iPhone X or XR?
No. The iPhone X and iPhone XR use different rear cameras. Only buy this for the XS or XS Max.
My lens glass is cracked. Do I need this?
Not always. If the camera works but photos look hazy because the outer glass is cracked, a camera lens glass replacement is usually enough.
Is it made by Apple?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality rear camera module made to fit the iPhone XS and XS Max, and every part is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The phone opens from the screen side and needs heat, the right tools and new adhesive.
How quickly will it arrive?
Orders placed before 4pm on a working day are dispatched the same day from Manchester by Royal Mail Tracked. Delivery is free on UK orders from £5.
