What this part is
Every phone battery wears out with charge cycles. On the iPhone X that shows as a phone that drops from 30% to off, needs charging twice a day or slows down under load. A swollen battery can also push the screen away from the frame.
This 2716mAh cell is a direct swap for the iPhone X battery and comes with its connector. Adhesive strips are not always included, so check the photos and order new strips if needed.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone X. Tap Model Number to see the A-number; it should be one of A1865, A1901, A1902.
The iPhone X has a 5.8-inch screen, Face ID and a vertical dual camera. The iPhone XS looks almost the same.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the iPhone X off, remove the pentalobe screws and open the display from the bottom edge.
- Disconnect the battery connector before touching anything else.
- Pull the adhesive strips out slowly and lift the old battery without bending or puncturing it.
- Fit new adhesive, seat the new battery and plug in its connector.
- Reconnect the display, close the phone and refit the screws.
- Charge to full and check the phone powers on and charges normally.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my iPhone X?
Yes, if Settings › General › About shows iPhone X. It does not fit the iPhone XS, iPhone XR or iPhone 8.
Does it fit the iPhone XS?
No. The iPhone X and iPhone XS look alike, but the X uses an L-shaped two-cell battery and the XS uses a different one.
Is it hard to fit?
It takes care. The display is opened first, then the battery connector is unplugged before the old cell is lifted out. Allow 20 to 30 minutes if you are experienced.
Is it made by Apple?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality battery made to fit the iPhone X, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. A damaged or bent Li-ion battery can catch fire, and the adhesive pull tabs snap easily.
