What this part is
The iPhone X loudspeaker sits at the bottom of the phone next to the Lightning port. It plays ringtones, alerts, speakerphone, music and video. Water, lint or a drop can leave it muffled, rattly or silent.
This is the loudspeaker module only. Brush the bottom grille gently with a soft, dry brush first. If the sound is still weak or distorted, the module needs replacing.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About. The Model Name should read iPhone X. Tap the Model Number once to see the A-number (A1865, A1901, A1902).
The iPhone X has a 5.8-inch OLED screen, Face ID, two rear cameras and a Lightning port. It looks very like the iPhone XS, so check the Model Name before ordering.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the iPhone X off, remove the two bottom screws and open the display.
- Disconnect the battery before touching any other connector.
- Remove the screws holding the loudspeaker beside the Lightning port.
- Lift out the old loudspeaker and fit the new module in its place.
- Refit the screws, reconnect the battery and test ringtones and speakerphone.
- Seal the display with new adhesive and check calls and charging.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
