What this part is
The iPhone XR plays ringtones, alarms, media and speakerphone calls through a loudspeaker module at the bottom of the phone, next to the charging port. Water, dust or a drop can leave it muffled, rattling or silent.
This is a brand new replacement module made to fit the iPhone XR. It does not change the earpiece speaker you hold to your ear during calls, so if only phone calls sound quiet, the earpiece is the more likely fault.

How to check your model
Open Settings › General › About and check the model name reads iPhone XR. Tap the model number to see the A-number. It should be one of A1984, A2105, A2106, A2107, A2108.
The iPhone XR has a 6.1-inch LCD screen and a single rear camera. The iPhone 11 looks similar but has two rear cameras.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the two pentalobe screws next to the charging port.
- Warm the screen edges, open the iPhone XR from the display side and disconnect the battery.
- Remove the loudspeaker bracket screws and lift out the old loudspeaker module.
- Fit the new loudspeaker, refit the screws and reconnect the battery.
- Test ringtones, media and speakerphone before sealing.
- Apply new display adhesive, close the phone and press evenly.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
