Overview
What this part is
On the Tab A7 10.4, the cover glass, touch digitiser and LCD panel are bonded together as one part. A cracked front, touch that stops responding, or a picture with lines or dark patches all mean the whole assembly needs replacing.
It fits the 2020 Galaxy Tab A7 with the 10.4-inch screen, in both the Wi-Fi (SM-T500) and LTE (SM-T505) versions. It comes in black or white. Do not confuse it with the smaller Tab A7 Lite, which has an 8.7-inch screen.

Is this the right part?
Signs it needs replacing
- The Tab A7 10.4 glass is cracked, chipped or shattered
- The screen stays black although the tablet still plays sound or connects to a charger
- Lines, flicker, bleeding colours or dark patches appear on the picture
- Touch misses taps in some areas, or the tablet opens apps by itself
How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone (on a tablet, Settings › About tablet). The model number starts with SM-. It should read SM-T500 or SM-T505.
The Tab A7 10.4 has a 10.4-inch screen. The Tab A7 Lite is much smaller at 8.7 inches.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the Tab A7 10.4 off and warm the screen edges evenly to soften the adhesive.
- Work a thin pick around the edge slowly. Tablet glass is large and can flex, so do not force it.
- Lift the old screen, then disconnect the battery before unplugging the display cables.
- Clean every trace of old adhesive from the frame and check the frame is flat.
- Connect the new screen and test display, touch and brightness before sealing.
- Apply new adhesive, seat the screen and press evenly around the edges while it cures.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my Tab A7 10.4?
Yes, if Settings › About tablet shows SM-T500 or SM-T505. It does not fit the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, Galaxy Tab A8 10.5 or Galaxy Tab A 10.1.
Does it fit the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite?
No. The Tab A7 Lite is a smaller 8.7-inch tablet with model numbers SM-T220 and SM-T225. It needs its own screen.
Is the glass and touch already fitted?
Yes. The glass, touch digitiser and LCD panel come bonded together as one assembly, so there is nothing to transfer from the old screen apart from any small parts shown in the photos.
Is it made by Samsung?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality LCD screen assembly made to fit the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 10.4 (2020), and every part is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The Tab A7 10.4 screen is large and held in with strong adhesive. It needs heat, thin tools and new adhesive, and the battery must be disconnected safely.
How quickly will it arrive?
Orders placed before 4pm on a working day are dispatched the same day from Manchester by Royal Mail Tracked. Delivery is free on UK orders from £5.
