On the Galaxy A7 (2017) the cover glass, touch layer and OLED panel are bonded together. A crack, dead touch or a black picture means the whole assembly needs replacing. This part comes as one bonded unit, so nothing has to be separated.
It uses an OLED panel, the same display type the A7 (2017) was sold with. Choose the colour that matches your phone, as the front glass colour shows around the edge of the screen.

Signs it needs replacing

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model number should read SM-A720F or SM-A720F/DS.
The A7 (2017) has a 5.7-inch screen with a physical home button below it. The A7 (2018) has no front home button.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and warm the back glass to soften the adhesive.
- Remove the back, disconnect the battery and unplug the display flex.
- Warm the front and lift the old screen from the frame with thin picks.
- Clean off all old adhesive from the frame.
- Apply new adhesive, connect the new screen and test display, touch and the home button.
- Press the screen down evenly, refit the back and run a final check.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
