What this part is
The Moto G8 Power SIM tray slides into the side of the frame and holds your SIM card, and a microSD card, in the right place against the reader. A bent or broken tray can stop the phone reading the cards, or let dust into the slot.
The supplier lists it as a SIM tray with a second slot that takes a SIM card or a microSD card. Fitting it needs only the eject pin. If the phone still shows no SIM with a new tray, the SIM reader inside the phone may be damaged, and that is a separate repair.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone and check the model name reads Moto G8 Power, not Moto G8 Power Lite or Moto G8. The model number is also shown there and on the box. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off.
- Push the eject pin into the small hole beside the tray on your Moto G8 Power and pull the old tray out.
- Place your nano-SIM (and microSD card if used) in the new tray, matching the cut corner.
- Slide the tray in the right way up and push gently until it sits flush.
- Power on and check the phone shows your network and the memory card.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Yes. The tray has a place for a microSD card as well as a nano-SIM. Check the photos to see the slot layout and match it to your old tray.

Should I fit it myself?
