What this part is
On the Nokia 1.4 the charging port sits on a small sub-board at the bottom of the phone, joined to the main board by a flex cable. Daily plugging in, pocket lint and drops wear the port out, and the phone stops charging reliably.
The Nokia 1.4 charges through a micro-USB port on this board. This is the complete board with the port already fitted, so no soldering is needed. If the phone still does not charge with a new board and a known good cable, the battery or main board may be at fault.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Nokia 1.4.
The Nokia 1.4 has a 6.5-inch screen. The Nokia 1.3 and 2.4 are different phones.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the Nokia 1.4 off and remove the SIM tray.
- Open the phone carefully with plastic opening tools, following the correct method for the Nokia model.
- Remove the screws and covers over the board you are replacing.
- Disconnect the battery connector before touching any other part.
- Unplug the flex cable, remove the screws and lift out the old charging port board.
- Fit the new board, reconnect its flex cable and refit the screws and covers.
- Reconnect the battery, power on and test charging with a known good cable.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Do I need to solder anything?
No. This is a complete board with the port already fitted. It connects with a flex cable and is held in place with screws.
