Overview
What this part is
The Google Pixel 5 display is a single bonded part. The cover glass, touch layer and panel are joined, so a cracked front, patchy touch or a picture with lines means the whole assembly is replaced.
This is the OLED screen and digitiser on its own, with no frame. It fits into your Pixel 5's existing frame after the old screen and adhesive are removed. It uses an OLED panel, the same display type the phone was sold with. The Pixel 5 reads your fingerprint from a sensor on the back of the phone, so the screen swap does not move it.

Before you order
Is this the right part?
Signs it needs replacing
- The Pixel 5 glass is cracked, chipped or shattered
- The display stays black although the phone rings or vibrates
- Green or white lines, flicker or dark patches appear on the picture
- Touch misses taps in some areas, or the phone types by itself
How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Pixel 5. The model code (GD1YQ or GTT9Q) is printed on the box and in Settings › About phone › Regulatory labels.
The Pixel 5 has a 6-inch screen, two rear cameras and a fingerprint sensor on the back. The Pixel 5a is larger, with a 6.34-inch screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and warm the screen edges to soften the adhesive.
- Lift the old screen out slowly and disconnect the battery first.
- Clean all old adhesive from the frame and check the frame is not bent.
- Connect the new screen and test display and touch before sealing.
- Apply new adhesive, seat the screen and press evenly around the edges.
- Final check: display, touch, calls, proximity sensor and charging.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my Pixel 5?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Pixel 5. It fits models GD1YQ and GTT9Q. It does not fit the Pixel 5a, Pixel 4a 5G or Pixel 4a.
Does it fit the Pixel 5a?
No. The Pixel 5a has a larger 6.34-inch screen and a different shape, so this screen will not fit it.
Does it come with a frame?
No. This is the OLED screen and digitiser only. Your Pixel 5's existing frame is reused, so the old screen must be removed cleanly and the frame edge cleaned before new adhesive goes on.
Is it made by Google?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality OLED screen assembly made to fit the Google Pixel 5, and every part is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. Opening a Pixel 5 needs heat, thin tools and fresh adhesive, and the battery must be disconnected first.
How quickly will it arrive?
Orders placed before 4pm on a working day are dispatched the same day from Manchester by Royal Mail Tracked. Delivery is free on UK orders from £5.
