What this part is
The front camera sits behind the small hole at the top of the screen and is used for selfies and video calls. A drop or liquid can damage the sensor, the focusing parts or the connector, and the camera then stops working properly.
Before ordering, restart the phone and clear the camera app's cache, as a software fault can look similar. If the outer lens glass is cracked but the picture is clear apart from marks, the lens cover may be the part you need.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Galaxy A12 and the model number should start SM-A125U. Samsung model numbers begin SM-.
This part does not fit the Galaxy A12 Nacho (SM-A127F), Galaxy A11, Galaxy A13. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the back cover edges gently and lift it off with a plastic pick.
- Remove the screws and inner cover, then disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Unplug the old front camera and lift it out of its holder.
- Fit the new camera, press the connector on firmly, reconnect the battery and test photos and video before closing.
- Refit the inner cover and screws, then refit the back cover with fresh adhesive.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Galaxy A12?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Galaxy A12 and the model code SM-A125U. It does not fit the Galaxy A12 Nacho (SM-A127F), Galaxy A11, Galaxy A13.
Does it fit the UK Galaxy A12 (SM-A125F)?
It is listed for the US version (SM-A125U). Check your model code in Settings › About phone and compare your old camera with the photos before fitting.
Will it fix a cracked lens?
No. This is the camera module itself. If only the outer glass lens is cracked, the lens cover is replaced separately.
Is it made by Samsung?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality front camera made to fit the Samsung Galaxy A12, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The Galaxy A12 has to be opened with heat, the battery disconnected, and the camera connector is small and easy to damage.
