The USB-C charging port on the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G sits on a small board at the bottom of the phone. The port is used every day, so it wears, and lint or corrosion can stop the charger making good contact.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Galaxy A16 5G and the model number should start SM-A166B. Samsung model numbers begin SM-.
This part does not fit the Galaxy A16 4G (SM-A165F), Galaxy A15, Galaxy A26. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the back cover edges gently and lift it off with a plastic pick.
- Remove the screws and inner cover, then disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Unplug the flex cables from the old charging board, remove its screws and lift it out.
- Fit the new board, reconnect every flex and the battery, then test charging and data before closing.
- Refit the inner cover and screws, then refit the back cover with fresh adhesive.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

It is listed for the Galaxy A16 5G (SM-A166B) only. The A16 4G (SM-A165F) is not listed, so check your model code in Settings › About phone.
Will it fix my charging problem?
It will if the fault is in the port or its board. Try another cable and charger first. If the phone still does not charge, the battery or main board may be the cause.
