What this part is
The front camera on the Samsung Galaxy A21s sits in the top of the screen and connects to the main board with a small flex. A drop, liquid or a failed connector can leave it showing a black picture, blurry images or an error when you switch to selfie mode.
This part replaces the front camera module. It is reached by opening the phone and lifting the camera from its socket on the main board. The screen does not need to be removed on most repairs, but the back cover and inner cover do.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Galaxy A21s and the model number should start SM-A217, not Galaxy A21. Samsung model numbers start SM-.

Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the back cover edges gently and lift the back cover off with a thin pick.
- Remove the screws and inner cover, then disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Unplug the old front camera from the main board and lift it out.
- Fit the new camera in the same position and reconnect it and the battery.
- Test the selfie camera and video before refitting the covers and back with new adhesive.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
