The side buttons on the Samsung Galaxy A22 4G press against small switches on a thin flex cable inside the frame. Over time the switches wear, or the flex tears or corrodes after a drop or liquid damage, and the power and volume keys stop working properly.

Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the back cover edges gently and lift the back cover off with a thin pick.
- Remove the screws and inner cover, then disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Unplug the old button flex and unclip it from the side of the frame.
- Fit the new flex in the same position, reconnect it and the battery, and test every button.
- Refit the inner cover and screws, then fit the back cover with new adhesive.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
