What this part is
The Samsung Galaxy A70 uses an optical fingerprint sensor mounted behind the screen. The sensor module and its flex cable connect to the main board, and a knock or a careless screen repair can damage the flex or the sensor itself.
Before replacing it, delete and re-register your fingerprints and remove any thick screen protector, as these often cause read failures. If the phone says the sensor cannot be found, or registration always fails, a new sensor is the likely fix. Your PIN and face recognition are not affected either way.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone and check the model name reads Galaxy A70. The model number should start SM-A705. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
The Galaxy A70 has a 6.7-inch screen with the fingerprint sensor under the display. It has no fingerprint reader on the back or side.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the back cover evenly to soften the adhesive, then lift it off carefully.
- Remove the screws and inner panel, then disconnect the battery before touching any other connector.
- Unclip the fingerprint sensor flex, remove the old sensor from behind the screen and fit the new one in the same position.
- Reconnect the battery, register a fingerprint and test it before closing.
- Refit the inner panel and screws, then seal the back cover with new adhesive.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Galaxy A70?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Galaxy A70 (model SM-A705). It does not fit the Galaxy A71, A50 or A70s.
Does it fit the Galaxy A71?
No. The Galaxy A71 uses a different sensor and flex. Only order this for the Galaxy A70.
Do I need to register my fingerprints again?
Yes. Stored fingerprints are linked to the old sensor, so delete them and register them again after fitting. Try this with any screen protector removed.
Is it made by Samsung?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality fingerprint sensor made to fit the Samsung Galaxy A70, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The glass back cover is glued in place and needs gentle heat, the battery must be disconnected first, and the small flex connectors are easy to damage.
