The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) has a single rear camera with a flash beside it. A drop or moisture can damage the camera's focus parts or connector, leaving the picture black, blurred or frozen.
The J5 (2016) has a removable back cover, so the camera is reached after taking off the cover, battery and inner frame screws. If photos are just hazy, check the camera lens glass on the back for scratches first.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone and check the model name reads Galaxy J5 (2016). The model number should start SM-J510. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
The Galaxy J5 (2016) has a removable back cover and battery. The 2015 and 2017 J5 models use different cameras.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off, remove the back cover, battery, SIM and memory cards.
- Remove the screws around the inner frame and lift it off.
- Unplug the old rear camera and lift it out of the board.
- Seat the new camera, press the connector on firmly and refit the inner frame and screws.
- Refit the battery and cover, then test photos, video and focus.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Galaxy J5 (2016) (model SM-J510). It does not fit the Galaxy J5 (2015), J5 (2017) or J7 (2016).
Does it fit the Galaxy J5 (2015)?
No. The 2015 Galaxy J5 (SM-J500) is a different model. Only order this for the J5 (2016).
My photos are hazy. Do I need this?
Maybe not. A scratched lens glass on the back cover often causes haze. Check and clean the glass first.
Is it made by Samsung?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality rear camera module made to fit the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016), and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The back cover and battery come off easily, but the inner frame has many small screws and the camera connector is delicate.
