How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The name should read Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and the model number should start SM-N985 or SM-N986. This flex is listed for the 5G model (SM-N986). If yours starts SM-N985F, compare the part with the photos. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has a curved 6.9-inch screen and a large camera block with three cameras and a laser focus sensor. The standard Note 20 has a flat 6.7-inch screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the back cover to soften the adhesive and lift it off carefully.
- Remove the screws and the lower inner panel.
- Disconnect the battery before touching any other connector.
- Unplug the old charging flex, lift it out and fit the new one in the same route.
- Reconnect the battery, test charging and data, then seal the back cover with new adhesive.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G (model SM-N986B). It does not fit the Galaxy Note 20, Note 10+, S20 Ultra.
Does it fit the Galaxy Note 20?
No. The standard Note 20 has a flat screen, a plastic back and a different internal layout. This part is for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra only.
Should I try cleaning the port first?
Yes. Fluff in the socket often stops the plug going fully in. Clean it gently with a wooden or plastic pick, never metal, and try another cable. If charging is still faulty, the flex needs replacing.
Is it made by Samsung?
