What this part is
On the S20 FE 5G, the USB-C socket is part of a small board at the bottom of the phone. Heavy use, pocket fluff and liquid wear the socket out, so the cable feels loose, fast charging stops, or the phone no longer charges.
This board replaces the whole charging assembly. Before ordering, try a known-good cable and charger and gently clear any lint from the port. If the fault remains, the board is the likely cause.

Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Galaxy S20 FE 5G. The model number starts SM-G781B.
The model number tells you which S20 FE you have: SM-G781B is 5G, SM-G780F is 4G.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the back cover to soften the adhesive and lift it off.
- Remove the lower cover screws and disconnect the battery.
- Disconnect the main flex and remove the old charging board.
- Fit the new board, reconnect everything and test charging and USB data.
- Refit the covers and apply new back cover adhesive.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
