How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The name should read Galaxy S20 and the model number should start SM-G980 or SM-G981. This flex is listed for the SM-G980 model. If yours starts SM-G981, compare the part with the photos. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
The Galaxy S20 has a 6.2-inch screen and three rear cameras. The S20+ is larger at 6.7 inches, and the S20 FE has a flat 6.5-inch screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the back cover to soften the adhesive and lift it off carefully.
- Disconnect the battery and move aside any parts blocking the side of the frame.
- Remove the old button flex and fit the new one in the same place.
- Reconnect the battery and check power and both volume buttons work.
- Refit the inner panels and seal the back cover with new adhesive.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my S20?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Galaxy S20 (model SM-G980F). It does not fit the Galaxy S20+, S20 Ultra, S20 FE, S21.
Does it fit the Galaxy S20 FE?
No. The S20 FE is a different phone with a flat screen and a different internal layout. This part is for the Galaxy S20 only.
Will this fix a missing button key?
No. This is the flex cable with the switches inside the phone. If the outer key is lost or broken, you need the outer keys instead.
Is it made by Samsung?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality power and volume button flex cable made to fit the Samsung Galaxy S20, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The S20 back cover is glued on and needs heat to remove, and the battery must be disconnected first.
