What this part is
On the Galaxy S20 Ultra, the screen cable clips into a tiny FPC socket soldered to the main board. If the socket cracks, its pins bend, or it lifts from the board after a drop or a rough repair, a good screen will stay black, flicker or show lines.
This part is the board socket only, not a cable. Fitting it means removing the old socket and soldering the new one to the board with a hot air station and microscope. It is a board-level repair for a skilled technician.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The name should read Galaxy S20 Ultra and the model number should be SM-G988B (UK models start SM-). Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.

How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off, open the back glass and disconnect the battery.
- Remove the main board from the phone.
- Remove the damaged socket with hot air, then clean and flux the pads.
- Solder the new FPC connector in place and check every pin under a microscope.
- Refit the board, reconnect the battery and test the display and touch before closing.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

No. This connector is listed for the Galaxy S20 Ultra only. Compare your old socket with the photos.
Is this a cable?
No. It is the small socket soldered on the main board that the display cable clips into. Fitting it needs microsoldering.

Should I fit it myself?
