What this part is
The display flex cable on the Galaxy S26 carries the picture and touch signals between the screen and the main board. It can tear during a repair, or be damaged by a drop or liquid. A damaged flex can cause a black screen, lines, flicker or touch faults even when the screen panel itself is fine.
This is a technician's part. It is soldered in place, so it is best suited to repair shops with micro-soldering tools. If the screen glass or panel is cracked, a full screen replacement is the better fix.

Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Galaxy S26, and the model number starts SM-. This part is made for the SM-S942B.
The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S25 look alike. Check the model number: the S26 starts SM-S942.

- Power the phone off and open it following the usual screen repair steps.
- Disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Inspect the old flex and confirm it is the cause of the fault.
- Remove the damaged flex and prepare the contact points.
- Fit the new flex, soldering where required, and check every joint.
- Reconnect the display and battery, then test picture, brightness and touch before closing.
