What this part is
The side key and volume buttons on the Galaxy S26 press against a thin flex cable fitted inside the frame. The side key (power button) wakes the phone, turns it off and opens Bixby or the camera shortcut. If the flex is torn, worn or damaged by liquid, a button can feel normal but do nothing, or it can press itself on its own.
This flex carries both the side key and volume button contacts. If the buttons themselves are missing or bent, the metal keys may need replacing as well.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Galaxy S26, and the model number starts SM-. This part is made for the SM-S942B.
The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S25 look alike. Check the model number: the S26 starts SM-S942.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off, warm the back glass edges and lift the rear cover carefully.
- Disconnect the battery before touching any other connector.
- Remove the parts covering the button flex along the side of the frame.
- Peel out the old flex and fit the new one in exactly the same position.
- Reconnect everything and test the side key and both volume buttons.
- Refit the back cover with new adhesive and press evenly while it cures.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Galaxy S26?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Galaxy S26 and the model number is SM-S942B. It does not fit the Galaxy S26+ or Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Does it fit the Galaxy S25?
No. The Galaxy S25 uses a different power and volume button flex cable. This part is made only for the Galaxy S26.
The button clicks but nothing happens. Will this fix it?
Usually yes. A button that clicks but does not respond on the Galaxy S26 often means the flex behind it is damaged. If it still fails with a new flex, the fault may be on the main board.
Is it made by Samsung?
