What this part is
On the Galaxy S8 and S8+, the volume buttons on the left side press small switches on a flex cable inside the frame. Wear, drops and liquid can damage those switches, so the buttons stop responding or press themselves.
This flex cable fits both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. It is the internal flex only, not the outer button caps. Check the photos against your phone before ordering.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+, not Galaxy S9 or Galaxy Note8. The model number should read SM-G950F (S8) or SM-G955F (S8+).
The S8 has a 5.8-inch screen and the S8+ a 6.2-inch screen. Both have curved edges.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power off the phone and warm the back glass to soften the adhesive.
- Lift the back glass and disconnect the battery.
- Remove the mid-frame covers to reach the volume flex on the left side.
- Peel away the old flex and fit the new one so the switches line up with the buttons.
- Reconnect the battery and test both volume buttons.
- Refit the covers and back glass with new adhesive.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
