The side buttons on the Galaxy S9 and S9+ press small switches on a thin flex cable inside the frame. A drop, liquid or years of use can break these switches or crack the flex, and the buttons stop responding.
This flex cable carries new switches. Fitting it means opening the phone from the back, so heat, tools and new back adhesive are needed. Compare the photos with your old part before fitting.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone (on a tablet: Settings › About tablet). The model name should read Galaxy S9 or Galaxy S9+. The model number starts SM-G960 (S9) or SM-G965 (S9+).
The Galaxy S9 has a 5.8-inch screen and one rear camera. The S9+ has a 6.2-inch screen and two rear cameras.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the back glass evenly and lift it off with a thin tool.
- Remove the cover screws and disconnect the battery before anything else.
- Carefully peel out the old button flex and fit the new one in the same position.
- Reconnect the battery and test the power and volume buttons before sealing.
- Seal the back glass with new adhesive and press evenly.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Galaxy S9?

Does it fit the Galaxy S8 or S10?
No. The S8 and S10 series use different button flex cables.
How do I know it is the flex and not the phone software?
If the button does nothing even when the phone is restarting, or the button feels flat, the switch or flex is usually at fault. A frozen screen that recovers after a restart is a software issue.
Is it made by Samsung?
