How to check your model
Open Settings › About tablet. The name should read Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and the model number should be SM-T700 (UK models start SM-). Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.

- Open the tablet as the service guide for this model describes, using gentle heat on glued edges.
- Disconnect the battery before touching any other connector.
- Unplug and unscrew the old part, then fit the new one and press its connectors home.
- Reconnect the battery and test charging and USB data before closing.
- Refit any shields and close the tablet, pressing the edges down evenly.
