What this part is
The USB-C socket on the Galaxy Tab S7+ wears with daily plugging in, and dust or a bent pin can stop it working. This part is a small board with the USB-C socket soldered on.
It connects to the main board with a press-on connector, so no soldering is needed. Before buying, try a different cable and plug, and clean the socket gently with a wooden or plastic pick. This board is for the Wi-Fi model SM-T970. The 5G model (SM-T976) uses a different board.

Signs it needs replacing

How to check your model
Open Settings › About tablet. The name should read Galaxy Tab S7+ and the model number should be SM-T970 (UK models start SM-). Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.

- Power the tablet off and remove the SIM or micro SD tray.
- Open the tablet as the service guide for this model describes, using gentle heat on glued edges.
- Disconnect the battery before touching any other connector.
- Unplug and unscrew the old part, then fit the new one and press its connectors home.
- Reconnect the battery and test charging and USB data before closing.
- Refit any shields and close the tablet, pressing the edges down evenly.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

No. The Galaxy Tab S7 uses a different part. This one is for the Galaxy Tab S7+ only.
Does it need soldering?
No. The charging port board connects with a press-on connector and screws. The tablet still has to be opened carefully.
