What this part is
The earpiece in the Galaxy S23 sits at the top edge of the phone, behind a narrow grille above the screen. It can be damaged by moisture, dust build-up in the grille or wear over time, which makes calls hard to hear.
Before you order, clean the grille gently with a soft, dry brush and remove any screen protector that may cover it. If callers are still hard to hear, or the sound crackles, the earpiece module needs replacing. The bottom loudspeaker is a separate part.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model name should read Galaxy S23, and the model number should start SM-S911B. The model number is also printed on the phone's box.
The Galaxy S23 has a 6.1-inch flat screen and three separate rear camera rings. The S22 looks similar but has a camera bump that joins the side frame.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and warm the back glass to soften the adhesive.
- Lift the back glass with a suction cup and plastic picks.
- Remove the screws and the upper cover, then disconnect the battery.
- Ease the old earpiece out of the top of the frame, noting its position.
- Fit the new earpiece, reconnect the battery and test with a call before closing.
- Refit the cover, apply new back adhesive and press the glass down evenly.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
