What this part is
The card tray on the Sony Xperia L2 holds your SIM card. Trays are easy to lose when swapping cards, and they can bend or crack if they are pushed in the wrong way. A missing or damaged tray can stop the phone reading the SIM, and leaves an open slot where dust and water can get in.
This tray slides into the existing slot on the side of the phone. Choose the colour that matches your phone. If the phone still shows no SIM with a new tray and a working SIM, the card reader inside the phone may be at fault.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model should read Xperia L2 and the model number should be H3311 or H4311.
The Xperia L2 has a 5.5-inch screen and a fingerprint sensor on the back. The L1 has no fingerprint sensor.

How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off.
- Pull the tray out from the slot on the side of the phone.
- Remove the old tray, or any broken pieces left in the slot.
- Place the SIM card in the new tray, gold contacts facing down.
- Slide the tray in gently until it sits flush with the edge.
- Power on and check the phone reads the SIM card.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Xperia L2?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Xperia L2 (models H3311 and H4311). It does not fit the Xperia L1, L3, XA2 or any other model.
Does it fit the Xperia L1?
No. The Xperia L1 uses a different tray. This tray is for the Xperia L2 only.
Does the phone need to be opened?
No. The tray pulls out from the side of the phone, so nothing inside needs to be opened.
Is it made by Sony?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality SIM card tray made to fit the Sony Xperia L2, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
Yes, this is an easy swap and needs no tools inside the phone. Do not force the tray. If a broken piece is stuck in the slot, a repair shop can remove it safely.
