What this part is
The Sony Xperia L4 charges through a USB-C socket fitted to a small board in the base of the phone. This board links to the main board with a flex cable. Over time the socket wears or gets packed with lint, and the phone stops charging reliably.
Because this is the complete board, the socket does not need soldering. First rule out the simple causes: use another cable and charger, and carefully clear the port with a non-metal pick. If the plug still feels loose or charging drops out, replace the board.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model should read Xperia L4, and the model number should be XQ-AD51 or XQ-AD52. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
The Xperia L4 has a tall 6.2-inch screen and three rear cameras. The Xperia L3 is smaller, with a 5.7-inch screen and two rear cameras.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Switch the phone off and take out the SIM and card tray.
- Open the phone with care and disconnect the battery first.
- Release the flex cables and screws that hold the charging board.
- Place the new board, reconnect its flex cables and refit the screws.
- Reconnect the battery and check charging and USB data.
- Close the phone and test the microphone, speaker and charging again.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Xperia L4?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Xperia L4 (models XQ-AD51 and XQ-AD52). It does not fit the Xperia L3 or Xperia 10.
Does it fit the Xperia L3?
No. The Xperia L3 is a smaller phone with its own charging board. We sell that part separately.
Is soldering needed?
No. The USB-C socket is already on the board. The board fits with screws and flex connectors.
Is it made by Sony?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality charging port board made to fit the Sony Xperia L4, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The phone has to be opened carefully and the battery disconnected before any part is removed.
