What this part is
The loudspeaker in the Sony Xperia L4 plays ringtones, notification sounds, music and hands-free calls. Drops, water and dust can damage the speaker, so sound becomes quiet, rattles or stops completely.
Before ordering, check that the volume is up, Do Not Disturb is off and the speaker grille is clean. If headphones or Bluetooth play sound but the speaker does not, the speaker is the likely fault. The earpiece you hold to your ear for normal calls is a separate part.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model should read Xperia L4, and the model number should be XQ-AD51 or XQ-AD52. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
The Xperia L4 has a tall 6.2-inch screen and three rear cameras. The Xperia L3 is smaller, with a 5.7-inch screen and two rear cameras.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM and card tray.
- Open the phone carefully and disconnect the battery.
- Remove the screws and cover at the bottom of the phone and lift out the old speaker.
- Seat the new speaker in the same position and refit the cover.
- Reconnect the battery and play a ringtone and a video to test.
- Close the phone and check calls on speakerphone.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Frequently asked questions
Will this fit my Xperia L4?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Xperia L4 (models XQ-AD51 and XQ-AD52). It does not fit the Xperia L3.
Does it fit the Xperia L3?
No. The Xperia L3 has a different internal layout, so this speaker is for the Xperia L4 only.
Will this fix sound on normal calls?
Only if the fault is on speakerphone. Normal calls use the earpiece at the top of the phone, which is a separate part.
Is it made by Sony?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality loudspeaker made to fit the Sony Xperia L4, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The phone must be opened with care and the battery disconnected first.
