What this part is
The Sony Xperia X Compact has one loudspeaker at the bottom that plays ringtones, alerts, media and speakerphone audio. A drop or water damage can leave it rattling, faint or silent.
This loudspeaker unit is shared with the Xperia X, X Performance and XZ. Check the volume, Do Not Disturb and the speaker grille before replacing it. If headphones or Bluetooth sound fine but the speaker does not, the speaker is at fault. The earpiece for normal calls is separate.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model should read Xperia X Compact, and the model number should be F5321. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
The Xperia X Compact has a 4.6-inch screen and a USB-C port. The Xperia X is larger, with a 5-inch screen.

How a technician fits this part
- Switch the phone off and remove the SIM and card tray.
- Open the phone and disconnect the battery first.
- Take off the covers over the bottom of the phone and remove the old speaker.
- Fit the new speaker and refit the covers.
- Reconnect the battery and test a ringtone, a video and speakerphone.
- Close the phone and check sound once more.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Does it fit the Xperia XZ1 Compact?
No. The XZ1 Compact is a different phone. This speaker fits the X Compact, X, X Performance and XZ.
Will it fix a quiet earpiece on calls?
No. Normal calls use the earpiece at the top of the phone. This part is the loudspeaker used for ringtones, media and speakerphone.
Is it made by Sony?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality loudspeaker made to fit the Sony Xperia X Compact, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The phone must be opened carefully and the battery disconnected before the speaker is removed.
