What this part is
This loudspeaker for the Sony Xperia XZ comes fitted in its plastic housing, so the whole unit drops into place. The loudspeaker plays ringtones, alerts, media and speakerphone audio, and it can fail after water exposure, dust or a drop.
Check the volume, Do Not Disturb and the speaker grille first. If sound works through headphones but the speaker is faint, distorted or silent, replace the unit. The earpiece used for normal calls is a separate part.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model should read Xperia XZ, and the model number should be F8331 or F8332. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.

- Power the phone off and remove the SIM and card tray.
- Open the phone carefully and disconnect the battery.
- Remove the screws and lift out the old speaker unit with its housing.
- Fit the new speaker unit and refit the screws.
- Reconnect the battery and test ringtones, media and speakerphone.
- Close the phone and run a final sound check.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
