What this part is
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium charges through a USB-C socket built into a flex cable at the bottom of the phone. Everyday plugging in, lint and moisture wear the socket, so the cable stops gripping and charging becomes patchy.
Because the socket is already on the flex, no soldering is needed. Try a known-good cable and charger and clear the port with a non-metal pick first. If the problem continues, replace the flex. The XZ Premium has a glass back, which must be resealed after the repair.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The model should read Xperia XZ Premium, and the model number should be G8141 or G8142. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
The Xperia XZ Premium has a 5.5-inch 4K screen and a mirror-like glass back. The Xperia XZ and XZs have a 5.2-inch screen.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power off and remove the SIM and card tray.
- Heat the glass back evenly and lift it off with care.
- Disconnect the battery.
- Remove the covers over the charging flex and unplug the old part.
- Fit the new flex and refit the covers, then reconnect the battery.
- Test charging and USB data, then reseal the back with new adhesive.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Will this fit my Xperia XZ Premium?
Yes, if Settings › About phone shows Xperia XZ Premium (models G8141 and G8142).
Does it fit the Xperia XZ?
No. The Xperia XZ (F8331 and F8332) has a different charging part.
Will the phone still be water resistant afterwards?
Only if the back is resealed with new adhesive. Even then, we cannot promise the same water resistance as before the repair.
Is it made by Sony?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality charging flex made to fit the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The glass back needs heat to remove and can crack if forced.
