Open Settings › About phone. The model should read Xperia XZ1 Compact, and the model number should be G8441. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
The Xperia XZ1 Compact has a 4.6-inch screen. The standard XZ1 is larger, with a 5.2-inch screen.

- Power the device off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the back cover to soften the adhesive and lift it off carefully.
- Disconnect the battery before touching any other connector.
- Remove the screws and covers over the charging flex.
- Unplug the old part, lift it out and fit the new one in the same place.
- Reconnect the battery, test charging and data, then close the device with new adhesive.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
