The main loudspeaker in the Xiaomi 12T Pro sits at the bottom of the phone and plays ringtones, alerts, media and hands-free calls. Water, dust and high volume can damage the speaker, so the sound becomes quiet, distorted or stops.
Before you replace it, check the volume, turn off Do Not Disturb and clean the speaker grille gently with a soft brush. If there is still no sound from the speaker but headphones or Bluetooth work, the speaker is the likely fault. The earpiece at the top of the phone is a separate part.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read 12T Pro. The model number (22081212UG) is shown in Settings › About phone › Detailed info and specs and on the box. Compare your old speaker with the photos before fitting.
The Xiaomi 12T Pro has a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen and a 200MP main camera. The standard 12T looks very similar, so check the model name.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Warm the back glass to soften the adhesive and lift it off carefully.
- Remove the screws and the lower cover, then disconnect the battery.
- Lift out the old loudspeaker and fit the new one in the same position.
- Refit the lower cover and screws, reconnect the battery and test the sound.
- Refit the back glass with new adhesive and press evenly while it cures.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.
