What this part is
The Xiaomi Mi 5X charges through a USB-C port mounted on a small board at the bottom of the phone. Everyday plugging in, dirt and liquid wear the port, so the cable feels loose, charging stops and starts, or the phone is not seen by a computer.
This part replaces the whole board, not just the socket. Before ordering, try a different cable and charger and gently clear any lint from the port, as these fix many charging problems.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Mi 5X. The model number is shown under All specs and on the phone's box. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
The Xiaomi Mi 5X has a 5.5-inch LCD screen, two rear cameras and a USB-C port. The Mi A1 is built on the same hardware but runs Android One instead of MIUI.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and warm the back cover edges to soften the adhesive.
- Lift the back cover carefully and disconnect the battery first.
- Remove the bottom cover and disconnect the flex cables from the old part.
- Fit the new charging port part and reconnect every flex cable.
- Reconnect the battery and test charging, USB data and the microphone.
- Apply new adhesive, refit the back cover and press evenly while it cures.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Does it fit the Mi A1?
The Mi A1 shares hardware with the Mi 5X, but this board is listed for the Mi 5X only, so we have not confirmed it for the Mi A1. Compare your old board with the photos before ordering.
Does it support fast charging?
The supplier lists this board with the charging IC fitted and fast charging support. Actual charging speed also depends on your charger, cable and battery.
Is it made by Xiaomi?
No. It is a brand new, OEM-quality charging port board with ic made to fit the Xiaomi Mi 5X, and it is tested before dispatch.
Should I fit it myself?
We recommend professional installation. The back cover is glued on and several flex cables must be moved across to the new part.
