What this part is
On the Xiaomi Mi A2, the charging socket sits on a small board at the bottom of the phone, together with the microphone connection. Daily plugging in, fluff and moisture wear the socket, so charging can cut in and out when the cable moves.
Replacing the board gives you a fresh socket. The board comes with its charging IC fitted. Try a different cable and plug, and clean the port gently first, as a bad cable is a common cause. If the phone still does not charge with a new board, the battery or main board may need checking.

How to check your model
Open Settings › About phone. The device name should read Mi A2. The model number is also shown there. Compare your old part with the photos before fitting.
The Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite are different phones with different internal parts. Check the name carefully.
Professional installation
How a technician fits this part
- Power the phone off and remove the SIM tray.
- Open the Mi A2 carefully. Follow a guide for this exact model, as it shows whether the back cover or the screen comes off first.
- Remove the screws and inner panel covering the bottom of the phone.
- Disconnect the battery before touching any other connector.
- Unplug the board's flex cable, lift out the old board and fit the new one in the same place.
- Reconnect the battery, test charging, data and the microphone, then close the phone and refit every screw.
Check that the part matches the device before fitting it or removing any adhesive backing. Once a part has been fitted, it cannot be returned for a change of mind. Faulty parts are always covered.

Should I try cleaning the port first?
Yes. Fluff in the socket often stops the plug going fully in. Clean it gently with a wooden or plastic pick, never metal, and try another cable. If charging is still faulty, the board needs replacing.
